I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT HAPPEN BEFORE!!!
In this post I want to start a topic of things I have never seen before. Hopefully in my comments section I can keep an update of "never before seen" listings.
For an explaination of this photo, take a look at the replies below.
I havn't quite figured out if I can add a photo to the reply or not.

Yesterday I was watching an A's game. The pitcher fires the ball into the catcher, Jason Kendall. The ball hits the dirt, then the catchers mitt and immediately rolls back onto home plate.
Kendall pops off the mask and throws it to the side. Then he turns around in circles looking for the ball. Guys are yelling and pointing but he didn't see the white ball sitting there on the white plate. The camera zoomed in on the ball, but it was difficult to see. Unreal.
It was truly unreal how that ball could come in at 95 miles an hour, have tons of spin, hit a mitt, dirt and then roll perfectly to the center of home plate.
I have never seen that before.
Got another one.
Not that its never been done before, but I am excited to see how this will turn out.
Today Mark Buehrle pitched 8 1/3 strong innings, allowed only two runs. Top of the ninth he gets one out, but allows two hits. So now you have a man on first, man on second, so Coach Ozzie Guillan subs in a Damaso Marte, a left handed pitcher. Facing his first batter, the ball is struck up the middle, the second baseman bobbles the ball for an error to load the bases. The next batter then walks, forcing in a run to tie the game. After that a base hit is given by Marte. Last batter pops out.
Based on that scenario, if the score stays the same.....4-3. does Buehrle get the loss? How many of the runs count against Buehrle's ERA?
I'll let you know when I find out.
As it turns out, the Sox scored 2 in the bottom of the ninth, so I will research the answer.
My guess is that Buehrle gets on ER and the next run is unearned, he would have gotten the loss, however his replacement gets the win because of the substitution.
Just watching a San Diego Padres/Milwaulkee Brewers baseball game. (that makes me a real fan of the game, right)
Brady Clark just doubled down the left field line, Klesko grabbed the ball with his bare handed after one bounce and gunned it back in.
(for your information, Brady just got his 72nd hit of the young season. He played at University of San Diego. They just made the mistake of saying how he watched Tony Gwynn. The problem is that Tony played and currently coaches at SDSU, not U of SD., funny.)
This reminded me of a time Kevin Mitchell was with the SF Giants. As I recall, he was chasing down a long fly into the left field corner, he had misjudged the ball and over ran it. At the last moment, he reached back with his bare hand and grabbed the ball out of the air!
So today I am watching a Rangers/Tigers game. Saw something I ain't never seen before.
Nook Logan hits a slow dribbler up the first base line. Both the pitcher and the 1st baseman charge the ball. The pitcher gets there, so the first baseman stops and starts back to the bag. As the pitcher runs toward the bag, he is screened off by the 1st baseman. At the last second, with no way to get around the 1st baseman, the pitcher lunges for the tag of the runner, but misses the tag. The great part is that Nook Logan ducked and swerved to miss being tagged out and this action causes him to completely miss the bag. The first base official is so intent on looking for the tag that he doesnt see the player miss the bag. He calls him safe!
I ain't never seen that before.
I was watching the Boston game today (damn I watch a lot of baseball!). Johnny Damon started the game with his hair in a ponytail and a thick 'stache on his upper lip.
At some point near the end of the game, the camera's zoomed in on Damon. His hair was now down and poofed out. Shockingly his upper lip was now clean shaven!
I must admit that I have never noticed a guy shave off his facial hair DURING THE GAME!
Boston, the home team ended up winning a very close game on a walk off home run by David Ortiz.
Ok, this is something I saw on ESPNews. I actually wasn't watching a game (for once)-----(however, let it be known that I was AT a game, only to see our team drop both games). Anyway, continuing, the Mets were at home today, with Pedro trying for his 6th win of the young season. I am not sure exactly what caused it, but they showed a player foul off a pitch, then suddenly the sprinklers came on, full blast, soaking players and the field instantly.
I ain't never seen that before! (except a few times when I was a kid, playing a the local park after park curfew)
Tonight, listening to Vin Scully call a Dodgers/Brewers game he brought up a very interesting subject.
I must say, he pointed out something I ain't never seen. At least I never knew I did. (know what I mean?)
Brady Clark was wearing a protective shin guard on his BACK leg. This is very uncommon. I have seen the shin guard on the front leg a million times, but never on the back leg.
Scully said that he talked to Uecker and Uke said that they practice fouling balls off the back leg all spring training. (haha, gotta love that guy)
